Within our IT department, our IT Solutions Architect will take the lead on projects of solution architectures and high level designs related to the corporate/group and individual life core business, and contribute to the IT strategy of the company, in line with the finance, compliance and IT roadmap.
Your responsibilities
As IT Applications Solutions Architect, your responsibilities include:
- Understanding business goals, objectives and expected outcomes, business processes and data of our life business, and translating these into solution architectures.
- Leading and supporting architecture activities that guide the development and management of life, finance or IT application solutions.
- Delivering solution architectures and designs that involve external products, custom developed applications, share application services, data and infrastructure.
- Collaborating actively with the IT teams to deliver workable and realistic solutions that can be implemented.
- Working with project managers and IT line managers to structure the project plans, estimates and staffing exercises.
- Contributing to the IT strategy of the company in line with the business strategy.
- Collaborating with the Athora Group enterprise architecture practice in order to take into account the group strategy in the solution designs, and foster synergies with other Athora entities in Europe.
- Ensuring alignment with architectural governance and standards, and contributing to their evolution.
- Maintaining the Application Assets repository in order to have a permanent view on our application landscape, including the link with data, infrastructure and business domains.
Your profile
- You have a university degree or the equivalent experience.
- You have been working for 10 years or more in an IT department, preferably as an architect, application owner, or in an application delivery team.
- Understanding mainframe environments and constraints is a plus.
- You preferably have a first positive experience in the life insurance sector that allowed you to have a very good understanding of the life insurance business.
- You have excellent knowledge of French and/or Dutch and are very comfortable working in English.
- You have very good communication, collaboration and active listening skills.
- You have an analytical mind and are solutions and results oriented.
- You like to take on challenges and initiatives.
- You dare to think outside of the box and do not hesitate to expose your ideas.
