Within our department IT with the mission of strengthen the current team in the group life insurance IT activities, we are looking for an Analyst/Developer to analyse and develop the solutions needed to maintain the tool.

The team consists of 3 people who is waiting just for you!

Your responsibilities

As a functional analyst, you will be responsible for :

  • Studying functional issues and change requests and determining the scope of large-scale, complex development projects.
  • Defining requirements and acting as the interface between users, business analysts and the various stakeholders.
  • Translating business requirements into a functional IT solution. Making the link with existing applications and carrying out an end-to-end impact analysis of the request in order to define the scope of development.
  • Challenging the content of the business analysis in order to optimise the quality of the requirements.
  • Carrying out detailed process analyses and defining the business processes that you then model into functionalities.
  • Monitor and provide functional support for the development process.
  • Drawing up user manuals and training users/testers.
  • Ensuring the quality of testing (full tests, test cases, ....), carrying out UAT tests with final validation by the business and, for larger projects, supervising test content with an external team.
  • Taking ownership of applications in the Group Life area, determining changes and the plan for improving the application so as to ensure continuity from an IT point of view.
  • Maintaining a functional view of applications that are not specific to Group Life, but which are used by the Group as a whole.

Coordinating work with those responsible for these other applications when changes need to be made.
Writing and integrating functional documentation for the existing application.

Your profile

  • You have at least 3 years' experience in the field of life insurance IT solutions.
  • You have an excellent knowledge of French or Dutch with a good command of the other national language and can work easily in English.
  • You have a good knowledge of life insurance, particularly group life.
  • Knowledge of Cobol/DB2 programming languages is a plus.
  • You have an analytical mind and a logical approach to the group life insurance business, if possible with knowledge of the management, settlement and medical processes, knowledge of group life insurance products and the legal aspects of group life (Sigedis, Belcotax, FSMA, etc.).
  • You are solutions-oriented and try to propose solutions that meet the needs of business users or propose those that come closest to them
  • You are capable of troubleshooting
  • You have a good command of Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Team spirit.
